The only people thinking that Bucktommy's storyline is ruining the show are the B*ddie fanatics and the homophobic fans who are disappointed that Buck came out as queer. However, the rest of the viewers don't think that way at all. Even if you put aside the BT fandom, the general audiences still enjoy the show. The improved viewership ratings reflect that.

BoBs don't want Buck to end up with the first ever man he has dated (this only bc said man isn't Eddie); they believe he needs to 'explore' his bisexuality more. The GA, on the other hand, is happy to see that Buck is finally settling into a stable, healthy relationship with a caring partner who respects him and reciprocates his feelings equally. Apart from many queer fans who are celebrating this crucial LGBTQ+ representation, most of the GA probably doesn't even care that Buck is with a man and the queerness of it all. They just like seeing a beloved character finally finding true love, after seasons of stumbling through a series of failed relationships.

Buck and Tommy's love story not only sustained the existing viewership, but boosted it further by drawing in plenty more new viewers to the show. This is apparent through the impressive ratings, and the fact that the show's renewal for season 8 was confirmed not long after 'Buck, Bothered and Bewildered' aired.

Another thing that BoBs don't realise is that the GA also comprises casual watchers and people who might not care about Buck or Eddie at all. The show has an Oscar & Emmy-winning actress among its main cast - Angela Bassett. It also has another beloved veteran actor like Peter Krause. There are people who are watching this show for them. There are people who may be far more invested in Bobby-Athena, Maddie-Chimney, or the Hen-Karen storylines than whatever the hell's going on with Buck or Eddie. Or there may be audiences who appreciate the platonic friendship between Buck-Eddie the same way they like Hen-Chimney or Hen-Athena with zero expectation of it turning romantic.

The only reason why it seems that B*ddie is the most popular thing about 9-1-1 is that their fandom is a loud and hyperactive majority across social media. Other fandom stans and GA/casual viewers may not be as dominant on socials, but they exist in a lot higher numbers than BoBs can ever imagine. BoBs overestimate their clout.

Bucktommies obviously love Tommy Kinard with their whole hearts, adore how good he is with Buck, and so would love for them to be endgame. But BoBs don't realise that even the audiences that are not hugely invested in Tevan as us BTs, are not losing sleep over the fact that Buck is with Tommy and not Eddie. They watch the show for other characters and storylines and all the drama and action. Buck's love life doesn't hamper their enjoyment of the show; they may be neutral to it. Even if not all of them maybe loving Tommy, doesn't mean they hate him either.

Again, the reason why Buck or Eddie's past relationships with their female LIs weren't popular even among the GA the way Madney, Henren, or Bathena are, is not because they wanted Buck and Eddie to end up together. I believe it's because those romantic storylines were half-baked or poorly-written, not making the casual viewer care enough. If Buck ever had a female LI with as much potential as Tommy, or if Eddie could treat a partner decently, those hypothetical ships could become popular too. People enjoy Bucktommy because of how beautiful their love story is overall, not simply because it's a 'queer' love story. Their storyline has the potential to be long-term, and Tommy being well-integrated with the rest of the characters solidifies the possibility of him and Buck going a long way.

What excuse would the BoBs who want Buck to experiment have had if Buck hadn't come out last season and Tommy were a woman? What if that storyline would still show a positive romantic development for Buck where the new female LI put in an equal amount of effort into the relationship, like Tommy has? Yes, a lot of the initial hype around Bucktommy was because it's a queer love story, but even if you replaced Tommy with a female character and made her care about Buck the same way that Tommy does, or have Buck be as smitten with her as he is with Tommy, many audiences would still dig that.

The same-sex aspect of it is just icing on the cake; the cake would still have been delicious if baked well (but the icing is significant for queer fans who crave good representation on TV.) But integrating Buck's bisexuality arc into a thriving relationship with a pre-established character is a welcome development for queer fans and GA alike. The viewership stats prove that Bucktommy is definitely not damaging the show, but contributing to making it more successful if anything.

So the BoBs need to know that all their constant whining, cyberbullying and Tommy/LFJR slander is not going to scare ABC or the showrunner & writing staff into giving them what they want. B*ddie fanatics are too tiny a portion of this gigantic equation (that exists far beyond the confines of social media), and losing them is not going to affect the network or the people making the show.

Even in the unfortunate scenario that Bucktommy doesn't last, most of the GA/casual viewers will still not stop watching the show. We BTs will be heartbroken and cry for a few weeks and then move on, because the show's writers can do what they want and owe us nothing. But we're not going to spend years bullying and threatening them for not making our ship endgame. That's the power of GA and the show will continue for as long as it has the ratings and network support to back it up, regardless of who Buck ends up with.

And for now, the GA is enjoying Buck with Tommy, so luckily things aren't looking too shabby for the BT fandom and the storyline should stay its course unless the writers decide otherwise, which they don't really have a reason to given the largely positive response reflected through the ratings. Even though we can't predict what happens in the future, we'll cherish every small or big Bucktommy win that comes our way until then! BoBs can keep screaming into the void as usual, but things wouldn't change because they think they can make it happen. That's all.

Rachel Amber is such a good character and I don’t get the amount of hate she gets. I feel like people who are judging her based on some of her actions really don’t understand her character, because that’s exactly what happens in the games. In the first game, most people who talk about rachel say how popular she was or how beautiful she was, and how cool she was at parties or how good she was at modelling, almost everything said about rachel from people other than chloe is stuff like that. the way they talk about her to max, who never met her, really seems like they don’t view her a as an actual person and more as an idea, they let their idea of rachel overshadow who she actually was and what she actually did and felt, she was always the popular girl or the party girl or something like that, she was always “rachel amber” instead of just rachel amber (if that makes sense). And rachel leaned into that assumption of her a bit but not in a lying, manipulative way like some people say, but in a similar way to chloe being known as a trouble maker and a rebel, which made her act like that more than she would’ve normally, without that expectation of her. It’s just so heartbreaking to see after rachel’s death that most people who she knew, when asked about her, don’t actually talk about what she was actually like as person. And that’s shown even more while she was alive in BtS, that everyone has an idea of her but no one truly knows her, even her parents think of her as their perfect, smart, polite, always good daughter, which isn’t who she is, I mean it’s part of her and everything else people think of her aren’t lies, but they’re only part of her. And chloe is the only person we ever see rachel fully open up to and when talking about rachel, actually talks about what she was like as person and the full person what she was, not just the idea that people got from her. That’s why it’s so sad and mischaracterising when people say she was using chloe and manipulating her, because chloe was the only person she ever let her herself fully be free with and without any expectations of her, including her own parents. I don’t understand how people can see their relationship and think it’s all fake from rachel’s end, especially since the ending of BtS and the big final decision is about the trust they have in each other and how rachel trusts chloe completely, because the final choice of whether to tell her the truth or not is very much framed as either don’t tell her and save her the pain of losing her father, which chloe understands and also knows how much rachel needs her family right now, or do tell her because rachel has complete trust in chloe and to not tell her would be to betray that trust, and to betray the only real relationship rachel has, and to view that thinking rachel doesn’t care about chloe removes all meaning from that moment. That moment is literally about how much trust rachel has in chloe and how much she cares about her and the choice you make is deciding if you are going to be worthy of that trust and love that rachel is giving you or if you’ll betray it and hide something incredibly meaningful from her when she needs someone to be there for her more than ever. And I feel like that trust between them is what ends up helping rachel open up more after BtS and what lets rachel let down some of walls when she and chloe hang out with other people, like steph and mikey or justin and trevor. Rachel is an amazing character who deserved much better from both in universe and real life. She deserved to live, she deserved to get out of Arcadia bay with chloe, she deserved to meet max and she deserves to be seen as she is by the fandom instead of the strange evil and manipulative idea some have of her. Rachel Amber is an amazing character, and deserves all the love <3

Also the argument at the junkyard, really shows just how much people’s perception of rachel affects her, that chloe, who she has never really spoken to before and only interactions are yesterday at the concert and today skipping school, both of which are good days for them and go against what people think of rachel, after all that chloe still pushes and kind of forces the ideas and assumptions about rachel on her, even though none of her experiences with rachel fit that perception of her, she still uses it against her, because that’s just how she’s known sadly. Which I don’t fully blame chloe for because both her and rachel weren’t in the best mindset during that fight and literally everyone has that perception of her so chloe leaning into that perception of her is believable but you know, it still happened.

(btw these are more my thoughts about her from an in universe perspective, not how she was written irl, because I know some of the stuff I mention, like how people talk about her in LiS 1, is because of the story and how her character is purposefully written and meant to be viewed)

their debut showcase was the first stage nakyung’s been on since iz*one disbanded and she was just shaky with nerves the entire time.

the members were all equally nervous though so they all comforted one another.

with a few exceptions, some of her iz*one members did come to the showcase and visited her backstage!! due to schedules, some weren’t able to such as j-line besides sakura 😕

yunjin also came as they were pledis trainees together!

for those that couldn’t come, she, of course, got a kkt from them congratulating her for her re-debut <3 iz*one girlies aside, she also got messages from idols like chungha, itzy’s ryujin and chaeryeong, fromis_9’s nagyung, and chuu.

it made her super emotional as she missed them a lot and wishes they could’ve all still been together in a group but also she really likes where she is now. she’s more than content with her present and future path.

nakyung had changed so much from her iz*one days, she thought fans wouldn’t like her anymore or forgotten about her since it’d been so long😭

but she did get a lot of support from fans all around the world and in korea

she’s having fun! the crowd, however… is not enjoying it. her friends are torn between cheering her on or having secondhand embarrassment before the brunette girl she was with pulls her off the stage and out the karaoke bar. the song abruptly cuts off before the first verse ends

she’s confused and slightly angry, wanting to go back and finish her performance but the friend pulls her back. the viewers can’t hear what the friend is saying, hearing muffled sounds of water instead. but nakyung is visibly getting more upset and angry, tears rising to her eyes but refusing to fall.

she takes off, walking home in the dark in angry and upset silence until she catches sight of an audition flyer for a company. she tears it off the wall and the scene ends.

the scene starts with nakyung nervously staring at a door before following an older man inside. a camera is facing the wall, three people, one man, two women, are behind the camera, facing her.

with a deep breath, she bows and introduces herself. this is the first time the viewers have heard her voice. the woman tells her to start when she’s ready.

nakyung starts to sing heart attack again and the background changes from the room to a large stage, now changed into different clothes than before.

the viewers are shown a large crowd, all holding red lightsticks in the air but too blurred they barely even look like lightsticks— all you can see is the red glow.

nakyung is dancing to the choreo along with other girls dressed in simple black clothes; her backup dancers.

the scene switches to her in a recording studio, still singing heart attack. it turns to the staff behind the window, nodding in satisfaction.

Okay, I know this is inflammatory and if Stormblessed chooses to publish this ask I want all the weirdos out there to know this opinion stands only for me, but if there are parts of the show that lean more towards being “fanservice” (oh, how I loathe that word), it’s not the parts you think.

HYBE has no interest (and no reason to have an interest) in promoting specific ships. If you think that is what’s happening you are wrong, plain and simple. Just… what on earth could they stand to gain from that? BTS are seven or they are solo artists. Corporations care about money and there’s no money to make from highlighting one duo over another, and their content is, to a very great extent, done for the preexisting fans that already fill their coffers.

Are they making money from Jimin and Jungkook doing a travel show? Yes, probably. Would they have made the same money from any other ship doing a travel show? Yes, probably, especially if it involved at least one member from the maknaeline. (They’re simply more popular, I don’t make the rules.)

So IF there’s fanservice in AYS (aside from the members doing and filming things they may or may not have done if they were on their own and I’m not talking about their personal interactions I’m talking about playing with water guns and making up elaborate games, going climbing and riding go karts etc., they might have done those things if there were no cameras but they might also have spent the entire vacation sleeping) it’s reinforcing the OT7 brand. It’s calling Yoongi and Tae, it’s talking about missing the members, its Tae joining the show, it’s calling RM, or remarking that specific members would love this or that.

It’s easy to forget in between yapping solos and shippers fighting over crumbs in the trenches on Twitter that the single most important thing about BTS is that they are seven and that their genuine connection is their lifeblood, AND, it’s important to note, the members also know this. So I’m not saying it’s not genuine when they talk about missing members (after ten years attached at the hip I’m sure they’ve had a weird old time in the solo era) but leaving those clips in the show, highlighting them and using them for voiceovers is a conscious choice, one that flows like a thread through everything they’ve done as solo artists. There’s always a mention or a cameo, a little titbit that connects 1 to the other 6, because BTS are 7.

It's not just you. I'm cosigning this opinion. I'm also adding the fanservice was all the titties given to us 😂 y'all remember when ARMY would lose it over bare foreheads and were seeing JKs tattoos through a shitty microwave reflection 😂

Now, both anon and I are not saying the OT7 bond is fanservice, but it's highlighted within the show for a reason. I'm the reason. Most ARMY are the reason. We all fucking lose it over how much the members love each other. It's not "fanservice" but it's what pulls people in. Check how many "OT7 ARMY" accounts finally started posted about AYS when they would call a member or when Tae joined as proof. Their bond isn't fanservice. Hybe absolutely profits off it though. You might have known that most of my posts go under categories like analysis and reviews, and I usually don't address hates and haters in this blog except a few times that I had to respond to some anonymous asks, which is now turned off.

I'm aware that no Jikooker likes to be policed by other Jikookers, I hate that too. I hate woke Jikookers so much, and this is not about policing you guys or telling you what to post about. But, as someone who reads tweets on army Twitter on a daily basis and follows almost every drama between shippers, I'm aware that antis sound so bold and brave recently for no specific reason, and this is expectantly triggering most Jikookers to fight back.

Haters get hit tweets by "comparing" moments, shading members, bringing back their old and frequently debunked theories, and fabricating the dumbest stuff to give themselves some sense of winning against the loud and clear truth of Jikook. If there was any competition, they had lost it many times since 2017, but this breed is not going to admit their defeat, and you can never convince them no matter how strong your logic and evidence are. 

I did that a few times, yes. I convinced several hardcore Taekookers that their ship is not real, and if there is one duo in BTS that might be romantically involved, it's Jikook. They admitted that to me after facing the evidence and facts that were hidden from them, but it didn't last long. Just a few days of interacting with their Tkkr fellas was enough to get brainwashed by more appealing theories and call me a liar and manipulator lol. This chain will never break, looking at the community of shippers in 1D made me sure about that.

It's not that they are trying to convince you (us, Jikookers), they are trying to convince themselves, the newcomers who have no clue about what goes on, the Tkkrs with some brain cells left who start to lose faith, and any weak mind out there is their target. It's already a lost battle for them, and they know it well. All they want is fewer losses.

But it's not just that, besides their attempts to keep their community big and in the majority, they are doing their best not to let you feel satisfied or winning (in the competition they made inside their minds). You need to knw that this is a mental war against Jikookers, and it's not just done by Tkkrs, all the breeds of Jikook-antis are on it these days, that's why I'm addressing them as antis and not just Tkkrs. For example, the other day, a JJK akgae tweeted something like 'jikookers are mad because JK likes girls', but in the quotes and replies, she had admitted that she was annoyed by Jikookers celebrating Jikook's new military photos. 

It's clear who is mad here. They deliberately and blatantly lie and project to belittle you, trigger you, and reach some level of satisfaction by affecting you mentally. So, don't let that happen, don't give them what they want. I already said there's no battle or competition, but don't let them win this mental war against you.

Why So Serious?

Joost Meerloo, in his famous book 'The Rape of the Mind,' says: “Logic can be met with logic, while illogic cannot, it confuses those who think straight. The Big Lie and monotonously repeated nonsense have more emotional appeal than logic and reason. While the people are still searching for a reasonable counter-argument to the first lie, the totalitarians can assault  with another.” Although we are not fighting a totalitarian regime lol, this is the exact reason that arguing with antis is pointless. They use 'theories' to debunk the 'moments', and call the real moments 'delusional and fake' while celebrating total lies.

 

Debunking lies is necessary, and everyone should do that as long as they are armed with perfect and mouth-shutting evidence. Otherwise, you should avoid it because nothing is more damaging than doing a bad defense. And these debunkings and defendings don't have to turn into arguments.

Joost Meerloo, in the same book, talks about a solution: “We must learn to treat the demagogue and aspirant dictators in our midst with the weapon of ridicule. The demagogue himself is almost incapable of humor of any sort, and if we treat him with humor, he will begin to collapse.”

Yes, you can debunk, correct, educate, and even argue in an unserious manner. Shipping is not that serious, anyway. Good humor is not insulting, we don't want to drag down or set anyone up. Spreading facts and truth positively and debunking lies with humor and ridicule is all we need to do instead of endless fights and anxious clapbacks.

This post was supposed to be a word, but it turned out as a long and boring essay of information that I'm sure most of you already heard so many times. But it doesn't hurt if we get reminded sometimes to think more deeply and get a better view on what we are dealing with.

By 2019, KRUSH is two years into their already explosive career. They've hit an insane level of success in such a short amount of time, and they're popular not only in Korea, but worldwide, as well. BigHit is gearing up for the debut of their newest boy group, TXT, and BTS is preparing for their highly anticipated comeback, but that doesn't mean KRUSH will suddenly lose popularity. In fact, that's far from what'll happen.

2019 and 2020 will be nothing short of incredible for the girls, kickstarting the five-year-long, almost never-ending rise of their popularity. Clearly, there's something in the air at BigHit Entertainment, but it's definitely a good something.

BTS and TXT might have an amazing next two years, but the rise of KRUSH will be truly insane. So much so that 2019 and 2020 will go down in fandom history, henceforth cementing themselves as "the years of KRUSH."

The girls started off the year with their first mini album, Fragile. Released in January, it began the insane rise of KRUSH's international popularity. Although selling a little less than their previous albums at 880,000 copies, it still saw an all-kill on Korean charts, and was the highest selling album from a girl group that month.

The album's lead single, "PLAYING WITH FIRE," was nothing short of a hit, peaking at number one on Korean charts and seeing a peak of seventy on the Billboard Hot 100. It saw unexplained (but not really) popularity among KRUSH's international audience, and it saw a good couple spins on American radio stations. Nothing like what would happen during the girls' next era, though.

Winning six music show awards, which was a little unusual at the time considering KRUSH's previous eras, this comeback was also chocked full of lore. It was pretty cut and dry, however, as something went wrong storyline-wise (spoiler—Aeri caused it) and all four girls would die in a house fire.

Or... not.

Anyways, reinforcing just how crazy 2019 was for the girls, KRUSH would make history by becoming the first K-pop girl group to perform at Coachella. Their performance would go viral, with Kaleina and Moonsun in particular gaining notoriety for their stage presence. That was the perfect set up for their next comeback, which would be their biggest one of the year.

Making their first ever summer comeback, KRUSH would become the industry's "summer princesses" and Sistar's spiritual successors with the release of their fourth EP, Warning! This began the trend of the girls releasing music that had nothing (but, at the same time, everything) to do with their storyline, but GGBs couldn't care less because the music was fun!

The lead single, "Spicy," would become the summer anthem of 2019 and a classic within KRUSH's discography, with the track seeing mega virality all across the industry and the internet as a whole. The choreography would become immensely popular, with everyone from KRUSH's fellow idols to American celebrities joining in. Warning! would see an insane sales run, selling over a million copies within its first three weeks, a milestone for the girls at the time. It saw a huge amount of radio play, debuting at a staggering #13 on the Billboard Hot 100. Warning! shot them higher up the BB200 than before, securing them a spot at #11. Just a spot away from the Top Ten, but there was always next time.

Some of the stage outfits seen during the Spicy era. The styling was very summer oriented, and the girls' outfits frequently went viral, with GGBs all down Twitter singing their stylists' praises. In fact, they went so viral that there are still recreations of these outfits almost six years down the line. The "mini hate train" that Kaleina went through the year prior had died down by this point, but it would only get worse for her (and the rest of KRUSH) towards the middle of the year.

"Spicy" would win a total of nine music show awards, and secured KRUSH their third triple crown (as "Psycho" got them their second). This comeback was huge, and it was a message to the industry that if they thought the girls couldn't get any bigger, they were dead wrong.

However, remember when I said that Warning! had nothing to do with KRUSH's lore? Well, in actuality, it had a lot to do with their lore. The title itself was a part of it, even. It was the first bit of an entire sentence, written into the background of the "Spicy" MV and in the background of the concept photos: "Warning! Love will get you killed."

And the whole thing about the girls dying-in-a-house-fire-but-not-really? Well, that will be revealed in due time. There's a reason why they showed up so happy in "Spicy."

The girls began their second world tour in June 2019, which became their biggest and highest grossing world tour to date. Everything was smooth sailing for the first month, but after Kaleina publicly came out as bisexual during the second day of KRUSH's Los Angeles concert (quite unprecedented for an idol), everything went to hell quick.

While Kaleina was embraced with open arms by international (mainly U.S.) GGBs, to the point where their outpouring of support at another one of the girls' concerts made her burst into tears, their Korean fans and even some international ones were less than enthusiastic. Long story short, Kaleina was bombarded by hate comments, with some fans even calling to boycott her and petitioning for BigHit to remove her from KRUSH. Needless to say, that never happened, but the hate train against Kaleina would only get worse.

KRUSH's last highly successful comeback of the year was their fifth EP, Test Drive, which... diverted even further away from their storyline. Released in November, it was quickly added to the girls' ever-growing list of iconic comebacks. Although a pretty unremarkable era activity wise, the album smashed away on charts, selling over 900,000 copies within its first two weeks and topping charts like always.

The lead single, "MOTORCYCLE," saw immense critical and commercial success, winning eight music show awards and climbing up the Billboard Hot 100, debuting at #11. It was lauded as one of the best K-pop releases of 2019, alongside "Boy with Luv" and "Crown" by their fellow labelmates.

Some of the stage outfits seen during the Test Drive era (includes some tour outfits, too). GGBs were having a ball this year, as this was one of the girls' best years styling wise. Despite that, however, the Kaleina hate train was in full swing again, and the "she gets special treatment" rumors were cropping up yet again. This time, there were a lot more people saying she was "undeserving" of this so-called special treatment, with even more rumors claiming that she was prioritizing relationships over KRUSH "backing" these claims up. Even worse? Now antis were hyperanalyzing her stage presence, pitting her against the other members, causing the first wave of KRUSH solo stans... it was just a mess.

At the end of the year, the girls took nearly every award home, and popped up on year-end lists everywhere. At the 2019 MAMAs, they won their very first Daesang: Song of the Year for "Spicy" (beating out BTS), and their acceptance speech was definitely emotional, especially on Kaleina's end. They also won Best Female Group, Best Dance Performance — Female for "MOTORCYCLE," and were nominated for Album of the Year for Warning! and Worldwide Icon of the Year. Both Billboard and Rolling Stone listed all three of their lead singles on their "Best K-Pop Songs of 2019" lists, and the former even declared "Spicy" as one of their songs of the summer.

Despite all of the girls' achievements and the fact that 2020 would be another year of unprecedented growth for them, it would also be a year of personal struggle for a certain member.

What is Jimin's obsession with being all over Jungkook in very obviously fanservice-type ways? Especially when 9 times out of 10, Jungkook looks annoyed or disinterested in him. It comes off as super strange and almost inappropriate. I actually am shocked JK and Jimin are still friends, with the way things have gone down over the years. It may be cute and genuine to Jikookers, but I truly don't understand that take.

Their recent show was even weirder to me, because neither of them looked like they really deep down gave a crap about doing the show. So many of the interactions seemed really fake. Idk I can never tell how much control the company has over them.

And tbh, I'm surprised they keep resigning with them. especially JK and Tae. I feel like BTS's popularity is slowly going down anyways and that they could probably easily leave the company and go do whatever they want. Is it just for the money that they're staying? I feel like all of us fans are more upset by the company's mistreatment then they are. Considering they resign every time.

It comes across as either Jungkook has no or very little control over what he can say and do (hence him rarely publicly supporting Tae's work, doing cheesy and fake reality shows soon before enlistment, etc etc) OR he does have control and he just let's the company spout their bullshit and continue doing sketchy things. Like, I obviously know that Taekook can't just openly be in a relationship, but I just wonder how the company keeps getting away with the Jikook fanservice crap and the mistreatment. Especially if Tae or Jungkook made issue of it.

Your ask has been sitting in my inbox for quite some time now, and I wasn’t sure if I was going to respond, because I was kinda done with the amount of toxicity I was seeing. And I think your ask contains a lot of that. However, I cannot let go of this particular part.

‘I feel like all of us fans are more upset by the company’s mistreatment then they are.’ I feel this leads you to a path of resenting them for not responding to their own trauma and difficulties the way you would like them to. It’s their battle, not yours. Just because you choose to fight for them, doesn’t mean you get to expect a certain outcome.

Getting out of a contract is extremely difficult. If that weren’t the case we would know of many a case where a group or an artist left. We know the abuse that takes place within Kpop. More and more signs of it come out every day. Idols don’t take that just for the money. They take it because the contracts they signed when they were kids (without proper advisors) holds them there. Resigning is different though, but also still complicated probably.

Contract conversations are difficult. I believe they have the power to not resign and get out, but I also recognize that even not resigning will come with difficulties.. especially when it comes to their group contract. You have to consider the possibility of Hybe owning the rights to BTS’s name and stuff surrounding that. That means they are able to use it even when members don’t resign. I think Hybe intents to keep them all. Not only are they all still very popular and profitable, it would not look good on Hybe to lose them. That gives them leverage, and perhaps they’ll be able to negotiate great deals (budget, freedom, etc). It will tell us a whole lot if some of them decide to not sign on because of that.

I don’t expect Tae to sign his individual contract with Hybe, but if he were to do so, I would still support him. I’d think he has a reason for doing so and I trust his judgement when it comes to his life.

Jk has no real power within Hybe. No idol does. Hybe will have no problem throwing any one of their idols under the bus if it suits them.

I always feel that it’s so important for us fans to realize that we basically know nothing. We have thoughts, we have theories, we see certain things go wrong or be off, but we don’t know what lies beyond those things. It’s important to talk about the things that are wrong, nothing will change if we ignore the bad parts. But personally I always keep in mind that my knowledge of things means absolutely nothing in comparison to that of Tae, Jk and the others themselves.

Are all bts victors willing join rebellion ?

all are hesitant, with varying degrees of probability of joining. 

Jin and Hoseok would need some type of assurance their families would be safe during a rebellion. Both would also have the concern of money and shelter, esp Hoseok. If the rebellion wins, how is Hoseok going to take care of his family? Does he keep the house on Victor's row? Will all his Victor's money still be valid? He has a family to feed and he's grown dependent on the victor status. Jin is more concerned about his status and the property he already owns, so more superficial but he's worked hard for everything he has (literally killed for it ) and isn't willing to give up much of his lifestyle. If a rebel were to meet with both of them and reassure them, I can see them supporting. albeit very subtly and cautiously. They’re not willing to bank everything on a rebellion being successful. But they do want the games to end for other kids. 

Namjoon I can see wanting to support, but only on his terms. He's not willing to do the katniss thing and be a tv "symbol" or anything, he wants an actual say and control over what will happen. I can see him having lots of questions about policy and what will happen to the remainder of the capitol people. I can even see him becoming like a mayor or something for his home district once the rebellion succeeds. So yes, Namjoon will support as long as he’s given a role to inflict actual change. Ultimately I think he will get that role too, the rebels know how respected Namjoon is not only among other victors but with gamemakers too. Very integral to the operation. 

Taehyung and Yoongi are a definite yes. The question is, will the rebellion want them to be part of their cause early on? Yoongi would definitely have to get sober and be better on tv, Taehyung would have to get more vocal and grow relationships with people in other districts. Neither is very likely to happen. I think the rebellion would focus their efforts on victors a bit more popular and friendly to act as spies, then eventually when the uprising is no longer a secret, the rebels will ask Yoongi and Tae to come fight. Both would without question. 

Jimin and JK…tbh I don't really see them supporting it. I talked about this before but JK thinks it's the district's own fault for losing the first war and now they’re just being sore about it. As for the games, well if people are that scared of their kids competing, shouldn’t they train their kids? Or don't have any at all? I don’t think he’d rat out any victors who are working with the rebellion, but I do see him rolling his eyes and seeing it as some stupid conspiracy. Kind of how people scoff and make Illuminati jokes, that’s JK with the rebellion. As for Jimin, I think he’s grown very spoiled and kinda has a Stockholm syndrome relationship with the capitol. Remember how Effie Trinket got very depressed because she didn't have her wigs or makeup while living in District 13? That’s very Jimin core. He doesn’t necessarily like the games, but he thinks that kids die all the time in other ways so it’s not that big of a deal. It sucks but it's not enough to create civil unrest in Jimin's eyes. He could get behind slow and integral change like working with politicians in the capitol to get training camps legalized in all districts or maybe increasing the tribute age to 15-18. Small things like that.

i need to write out a masive rant about life is strange THIS WILL PROBABLY HAVE SPOILERS FOR ALL THE GAMES!!! everything said is my PERSONAL OPINION

lis TC is underrated, the original is overrated and lis 2 is the best game in the series .

im in no way saying that TC needs to be the most popular or lis 1 is the worst thing ever but people need to realise that not just lis 1 exist. i think the end of lis1 is not worth the lead up. i adore the fact that its this earth shattering decision that you have to make but as soon as you make that decision thats it. the gameplay has no real addition to the end and once you play it twice theres not much else you can really do.

lis TC however has almost the opposite feelings for me. the gameplay is so slow and boring (as a d&d nerd i loved the LARP but oh my god its slow and probably should be an optional thing (like the d&d scene is lis BTS)) like why am i sat waiting for alex to walk around a box for a good two minutes just to sit there and have no buttons to press for ten minutes before i can actually do anything?? while it has it flaws, i really enjoy the last episode when everything starts coming together and theres a bit more to do and the end in the pub is incredible but its the same issue i had with lis 1 THE CHOICES IN THE GAME DO NOT EFFECT THE ENDING AS MUCH AS I WISHED THEY DID! i know probably from a development perspective its a pain in the ass to make it all link together with all your choices but THEY DID IT WITH LIS 2!!

lis 2 is and will forever be my favourite game in the series. while it does have some faws (as all games will) it feels a lot more full than the other games. it feels like theres more going on and like your actions really do have consequences because of the way that daniels morality rate or whatever affects your ending. it isnt a 50/50 decision with that exact outcome like lis 1 or the same outcome ever time like TC and i think that gives it a much more fulfilling ending every time you play. i made the mistake of googling every ending after my first playthrough so i lost a bit of the mystery of each ending but i still get anxious when im playing and i want to get a specific ending that if i do the wrong thing ill get the wrong ending and i LOVE THAT it makes the game feel that bit more real. i really wish that characters came back for more than one episode (I NEED MORE BRODY, CASS AND FINN) but the fact you meet people and they leave adds to the fact that youre running from the police. it makes me feel more connected to sean and daniel in a way (especially as someone who gets attached to characters easily 💔💔) and the fact they have to keep on moving no matter what. each ending is as devastating as the rest and they all make me cry.

i hate the fact i have to shit on the ending of lis1 but it just doesnt hit as hard as i want to after you play once. by the second play through you know whats going to happen and it loses the emotional pain it puts you through the first time. especially when you know you will always pick the same ending (BAE OVER BAY) it just feels empty.

Jimin is actually popular. It's not an illusion, it's not bots. He genuinely has organic impact. He's more popular than rapline, more popular than most of kpopies fave groups, more popular than Jin, post-face I'd say he's arguably as popular as JK or Tae.

So let me know if I'm being delusional but I've started to feel recently that the fact that big army accounts and his company keep shading him or othering him has stopped affecting him and has instead just increased negativity towards the label and said big army accounts. Because many armys are cultish but like I said Jimin is popular. Atleast a few of them are slooooowly seeing the light and seeing all of it for what it is.

In spite of his many antis, Jimin's numbers are still pretty great and they're great because of fans not payola. Meanwhile the rest of them are either out of the picture completely or literally being kept afloat by their big playlists, remixes and constant restocks. Armys too are in terrible shape - I know there was infighting before but things are really bad nowadays. Them constantly platforming these low-key Jimin antis is backfiring on them because those guys suck. There was a surge of community after the four of them had enlisted but that's gone now too and I'm not surprised more and more people are going ia.

Is this karma? Too early to say but I hope so.

If Jimin didn’t seem “arguably” as popular as th and jk before, it’s because the online hate probably made it seem like he wasn’t. Tangibly, he’s always had the best results out the 3 prior to chapter 2 and he’s always been the most impactful without a doubt. He’s also objectively more popular than any other idol outside of bts that’s a hard ass fact lol.) But tbh, jimin being othered hasn’t really ever affected him success wise though, it’s mainly how people misconstrue him that impacts him negatively.

I agree that some armys (even though most of them are jimin biased) are seeing the fandom and label for what they are, but they’re minuscule compared to the rest of the fandom who don’t see anything wrong with how jimin’s being treated. Outside of that, any increased persecution of these accounts is definitely from pjms not letting them get away with the disrespect and being loud about it. That’s why I’d say the only way armys endorsing these anti jimin big shooter accounts is backfiring on them is that it’s making them lose genuine armys to solo stanning but negative for them plus for us.

About the military.....

I know jm and jk are capable of not having se* while on base IF they're couple or anything like that the question wasn't about if they're going to restrict or not. The question here is IF in future they come out as gay couple then the govt might investigate them as they used Buddy prgrm so the govt might wanna check if there's something they can get against jikook so they can use it to frame them just like how JTBC framed suga as they spread the false CCTV footage which wasn't even him(they're currently getting sued or something for that) They don't need to use footage or wtv where there's jm and jk IF they want they can frame them using any false evidence it doens't have to be jikook fking on base it can be anything blurry shit and ppl would belive it just like what happened with suga as JTBC broadcasted false footage on their channel cause of which suga got lots of hate when it wasn't even him. So the question was why would they take such a risk where in future things might become hard for them from govt side itself. Sk never looses any chance to shit on BTS you might have seen it with suga case and this has been happening since long time that although they use BTS's popularity for their countries' profit they never lose chance to drag them down or downplay their success and use negative pr against them. So it was all about that.

I understand that, but as corrupt as SK govt is, I do not see them choosing two of the most famous people in their country to imprison, on a blurry hunch that they had sex while on base. That is totally different than trying to make a bigger deal than necessary of Suga driving a scooter while drunk.

Suga’s incident was something they could play up in the media, because he himself admitted to drinking and riding the scooter. Then CCTV footage came out of him on the scooter (although he wasn’t nearly as drunk as they implied). So it wasn’t about framing him as doing something he never did. It was about using the first “real” scandal, and blowing it up ten times worse than what it was.

JM and JK potentially coming out after enlistment and then being framed as having had sex on base, would require undeniable proof. I can’t pretend to know exactly how corrupt their judicial system is, but blurry photos are typically inadmissible in a court of law. There has to be evidence that prove beyond a doubt that people broke the law. So with how close JM and JK are right now, and with people shipping them and thinking they’re dating, that’s all the military would have against them. Hearsay, based on their skinship and verbal affection for one another, that they were highly likely secretly dating prior to enlisting. They would then have to prove they continued a romantic relationship whilst enlisted, and that relationship included sexual activity that they engaged in whilst on military grounds.

I understand wanting to look at all possibilities and being wary, but what you all are doing is called catastrophizing. You’re looking only at negative scenarios, and in doing so are convincing yourselves that those potential future outcomes equal present day reality, and that’s not how it works.

Yes, their media has it out for them. Yes, any sort of scandal will be made into the worse thing if it concerns them, but there is no way to know their military would be willing to risk such a fucking lawsuit by trying to frame them as having broken the law likely years prior to coming out. Because that is also the most likely reality of the situation. JM and JK are not likely to come out any time soon after discharge. They’re still going to be doing group stuff, which probably won’t slow down until 2030, maybe 2033 to make it a rounded out twenty years.

Enough time post enlistment to celebrate their return, put out another two albums, tour those albums, and then call it quits as a group. And IF Jimin and Jungkook are dating and last the entire time, that’ll be when they are likely to come out. There is the possibility as I said before, they’ll glass closet the situation and just keep it unofficial, but who knows.

Point is, it is not as simple as you guys seem to think it is, to frame someone for such a huge thing. The Korean media can set them up to be investigated, but for the military to take action and investigate, there would have to be a foundation of suspicion. Particularly because Tkkrs and Jimin antis have already tried to get Jimin investigated for being a queer man entering the buddy system with JK as a means to harm him.

Then there’s also the fact that it would be, in my opinion, silly to think no one has already tried. There are bound to be people in high places who do not respect BTS nor want them to have an “easy” military experience. So in my mind, there has likely already been soldiers and officers who have sent suspicions to whatever department they have to, to try and get them investigated. Same with other idols who are hated or “act gay”.

I think it is both wishful thinking and naïveté that has people believing Jimin and Jungkook are in some unique position to be stealthy enough to never get caught, yet unlucky enough to be found guilty once they’re out. The world does not revolve around them, believe it or not, and I genuinely do not think the South Korean military is sitting around waiting and anticipating them coming out so they can prosecute them for maybe breaking the law.

Because what if they don’t come out until 2035? Do you think they’ll still be investigated for a crime they maybe committed ten years prior, and have blurry photos be enough to convict? Same if someone else tries to out them and claim they had sex, in 2027. If they only have blurry photos, what exactly do you guys think is going to happen? Because realistically, a SK outlet would have to be willing to pick the scandal up, which would require risking a lawsuit themselves. Because you can’t just out people without proof. As well, I honestly do not believe their govt will want to be viewed as heinous overlords for investigating what is truly a non-crime crime, without hard evidence.

All of which again, is based on nothing. He regularly forces Luther and Ethan to do trends w the rest of Hunt’s team, like I can’t find ayesha cuz she’s probably sucking dick/bitch pick up your goddamn phone you’re gonna make me sick where they all are on it w really cool transitions. He likes to talk abt SW or ST or DW a lot and one of his most liked videos (and how some people discovered him) is him replying to a comment that’s like “what’s knotting” and he just stares into the cam while putting one a red nose to a circus music. He makes a photo post that’s like we’ll be a fine line we’ll be alright with a pic of the first hunts team mission w their latest one, and people ask him if he likes Harry styles and he just goes “who❤️” He does the pabrobui mwah mwah trend w Ilsa while they’re ALSO in a mission in Poland and they’re dressed in very warm clothes and everyone’s like oh my god…I’ve seen two pretty best friends. I genuinely think he’s got a few moves in him so there’s one of his most liked vids where he’s filming himself cooking in his kitchen where he’s barely dancing to busy earnin’ and the vibes are IMMACULATE. He 100% did the ceilings and you with the dark curls you with the watercolour eyes trends. He ALSO forced the entire team to do the benjamin’s deli trend (dancing slowly in the light vs throwing moves in the dark while people put on their phones’ light). I tease her, she teases me (…) and that’s when people start to get that they’re all mates. She does the bitch you know I’m sexy trend with Will and Benji. She forces Ethan (he lost a dare) to do the you carry yourself with the confidence of a…much taller man trend. She soft launches Ilsa w a video of “24H in my life” (while she’s on break) where you can see glimpse of her gf and her followers go insane trying to figure out who it is. She posts herself and benji where benji’s tied to a repelling cable on a high building and she’s zooming in on him w the never back down never what/never give up audio in the background and people are like what the fuck r y’all doing??? She also is a great dancer so she regularly posts herself to the latest dance trend (she KILLED Angel in Tibet and Back on 74.) Both she and Benji did the okokokok lalala trend w their respective partners. (ilsa’s ok janes lala and ethans lala while benjis okokok)

Brandt (560k) is fucking hysterical bcs you’d think he doesn’t know what fun is and is so serious about literally everything and well. you’d be kind of right. He mostly post himself at the gym and people ask him a lot abt his supplements and his program, things to which is gracefully replies. His most liked video is SO Brandt coded because it’s just him crossed armed at his desk looking into the cam with like, company in the background, which technically qualifies as a thirst trap and everyone’s so confused because they’re like oh my god…I think I’m attracted to office workers. He also posts a lot of him sparring, sometimes w Benji or Jane or Ethan or Ilsa and people go kind of insane about those. Here is chapter 1 of the project I've been working so long on!! I'm super passionate about this storyline, so I'm hoping you guys enjoy it as much as I enjoy writing it. As of right now, I have about 4 chapters completed, and depending on how well this is received I plan on posting them as well. Enjoy your Namjoon crumbs, there is SO much more to come!

Chapter 1: Ideal Woman

Namjoon's POV as he deals with prying reporters, stalkers, and some unwarranted feelings that send him spiraling. How can he claim to know and protect his fellow members if he doesn't even know himself? Y/N, one of 8 members of the worldwide popular K-pop boyband BTS, slowly helps Namjoon along in his journey of self-discovery and acceptance, dealing with his own feelings along the way.

“Now, RM, the fans are dying to know. What are your ideal traits in a girl?” The interviewer smiled and held out the microphone towards Namjoon expectantly. The camera pans over to his face and he forces a smile and glances down.

What a stupid fucking question. 

He is so tired of being asked the same questions. Although he knew it was bound to happen due to BTS being worldwide famous idols, still, indulging reporters and tabloids who are constantly hungry for new content and scandals to feed their prying gossipers is so exhausting.

“Ah, well, you know, we all are focusing on our career and don’t have time for anything like that.” He avoids the question, hoping the reporter will drop it. She doesn’t catch on. She has a smile that is too wide and obviously faked. Honestly, Namjoon is pretty sure this american interviewer doesn’t even really know BTS too well or even listen to their music.

“Come on, everyone has a type. ARMY wants to know what kind of woman is RM’s type?” 

As if you can speak for ARMY.

“Why do you care?” Namjoon snaps. He surprises himself with his response and immediately follows it up. “I-I mean, it doesn’t really matter. As long as they love and accept me, I guess.” He saves it the best he can. The interviewer stares him down.

“Awe, how sweet. Well before you go Namjoon, we just gotta know! There have been rumors going around that you secretly have a girlfriend! Is it true? Should we be expecting an announcement soon?” As she speaks, pictures flash across the screen of Namjoon caught in the street taking pictures with a fan. Namjoon feels frustration bubble up, not only at the accusation but at the lack of privacy and how the tabloids must have been following him around taking pictures.

“Wow. Really? Shameless.” He loses his patience. “I don’t appreciate being followed and stalked everywhere I go, you know. She is a fan and we took a picture. Sorry I couldn't satisfy your gossip.” He can’t stop himself. “Do you guys really get paid for this? Pushing this  scummy, heteronormative agenda on celebrities hoping for a sliver of drama just so you can get a few clicks in by exaggerating and lying? We are people too, just like you. Normal people. So no, you don't get to make assumptions about me or pry into my life.”

“Heteronormative? Are you saying you are something other than straight? Is this official?” The woman interjects. Namjoon is fuming.

“Are you fucking kidding me?” Namjoon gets up and storms away from the lit up booth and over to his staff, who briskly apologize to the interviewer and team and take him back to the studio.

Namjoon knows he went too far. Luckily his agent made sure that the interview would be scrapped and not published, but that is now an entire news group that BigHit won’t ever get an interview with again. Honestly they didn’t need the extra publicity, since at this point any company would be more than ecstatic to host an interview from BTS, but this was supposed to be a series of solo interviews from each of the artists, which would have no doubt been popular. Still, he didn't feel bad. Too many times have people asked BTS questions about their private lives and tried exposing them with false accusations and start scandals, none of which ever stick due to ARMY being so protective of them, but it took a toll on their mental health sometimes. Namjoon sinks into the back seat of the car as he looks out the window, listening to the patter of rain on the roof and watching the street lights reflect off the dripping window. 

My ideal woman, huh?

He reflects. Everywhere he goes where people ask him these questions, they always say “ideal girl” or “woman,” always assuming he is straight. I mean, he IS straight, but it bothers him nonetheless. It’s not like anyone bothers to ask, they always just assume. He knows that people just want to hear him talk about specific traits and types to fulfill people’s fantasies. It seems people also assume that all ARMYs are straight fangirls. It’s 2023, how are people still pushing heteronormative standards? He takes out his phone to see new messages in the BTS group chat.

WWH: How’d the interview go?

Namjoon sighed and typed out his response.

Me: Horribly. Pretty sure I ruined it for   all of us, sorry guys. JK: How so?  Me: I lost it and kind of snapped V: Dang, sounds like they deserved it then.  No worries man, probably for the best Me: Stupid private questions. I got  too pissed though, it is my fault, but still Y/N: Ew, don’t they have anything better to do? Jimin: Fr. Don’t feel bad, I would have  been short tempered too J-hope: Does this mean we have a free  weeknd? WWH: Nice spelling J-hope: thx dad JK: Hell yeah, let's do a movie night! (read by SUGA, WWH, J-hope, and 4 others)

Namjoon puts his phone away and looks out the window again. 

“Are you saying you are something other than straight? Is this official?” 

The woman’s words echo in his head longer than he would have liked. Namjoon has always liked women, that he is certain of. Ever since he was little he had crushes on disney princesses and actresses all the time. He had his fair share in heartbreaks and girlfriends in school too. Ever since becoming an idol, however, everything relating to romance seems to have left his life and been put in the back of his mind. He knows it's because they are idols that they aren't allowed to publicly date. That isn’t to say however that he didn't fantasize about having a partner or being in a romantic relationship. Despite BTS being his family and never truly being alone, he couldn’t help feeling lonely in some ways. These days, Namjoon finds himself stuck in his room working even in his free time. Maybe this weekend becoming suddenly free would be a blessing after all.

Namjoon walks into what he and BTS know as the “safehouse,” which is a large home away from the city where all 8 members have access at all times and their own separate rooms. They usually go to the safehouse when they want to meet up, have events and parties or just whenever they want to get out to somewhere private from their own separate homes. The other members are already gathered around in the dining room as he comes through the door.

“Hey, there he is! Welcome to the finest restaurant in all of Korea.” Hoseok yells over from the table where they are all feasting on what looks like bbq.

“Join us, I slaved away at making this for all of you, congratulate me.” Jin’s bubbly voice calls.

“As if. All you did was order the food hyung, don’t act like you prepared it!” Jimin teases Jin and reaches over to put some beef over the bbq and then dips it in some sauce.

“Ah, perfect. I’m starving.” Namjoon puts away his things and sits down in the empty chair next to Y/N. They all get into food and conversation, laughing and smiling and having a great time.

“I’m curious, what did she ask you that sent you over the edge?” Jungkook quired, sitting back as Taehyung brought over some beers.

“The interviewer started asking about my ideal type of woman, a question which I can usually dodge, but she was persistent. Then they pulled up pictures of me back when I was visiting Switzerland where I met a fan and they tried to frame it like a secret girlfriend situation.”

“They followed you to Switzerland?” Y/N looked up, a disgusted look on his face.

“Guess so. Anyways after that she-” Namjoon cuts himself off.

 “Are you saying you are something other than straight? Is this official?” Her words came bubbling up again, making him feel nauseous.

“She what?” Taehyung presses. Namjoon shakes his head.

“Nothing. I just got pissed, snapped at her and left after that.” He avoids eye contact with any of them, hoping someone will change the subject.

“I think you were in the right. I would have been so snarky.” Yoongi speaks up from the corner seat. 

“Yeah, don’t think about it too much man. There will always be more interviews, with better and more respectful people.” Jungkook says, trying to make him feel better.

The conversation shifts from there and as the night goes on, the boys get more and more inebriated. Jin is practically howling from laughter at Hoseok, who is falling over in his chair with his face bright red. Jimin is half asleep, Jungkook is not far behind him, and Taehyung is talking about some nonsense with Yoongi. Y/N and Namjoon seem to be the better off in the bunch, simply making stupid jokes and laughing at the other members. Namjoon speaks up.

“I’m drunk, gonna turn in for the night. As should all of you.”

“I think Jimin is already there.” Jin laughs and points at Jimin, who is face flat on the table.

“I’ll take him to his room.” Jungkook sighs and lifts Jimin up and carries him away. The other members eventually all go to their respective rooms also. Namjoon makes his way to his room. 

Namjoon closes his door and goes to get ready for bed. His tipsiness makes him stumble sometimes, but he manages to get changed and brush his teeth. After getting ready, he practically falls into his bed and crawls underneath the light brown and white covers. He drifts into thought.

Ideal woman… 

Namjoon starts thinking about what he finds attractive. He imagines lean, fit bodies and smooth skin. Silky hair and slightly parted lips. Sparkling eyes and light voices that entice him. He imagines a pair of hands caressing his face, feels the hands move down his neck and to his chest, constantly moving. The hands then become arms attached to a lean and skinny body, a dancer’s body. He feels the body with his own hands, moving to the sides of the person and down to their hips. The person materializes even more, revealing defined abs that lead to a man’s chest and strong thighs that straddle Namjoon’s middle, masculine shoulders that carry beauty and grace. The person is a beautifully built man. The face is blurred, but he can make out plump lips that shine, half parted in a silent breath. The figure leans down into Namjoon, hands on his chest and head as it gets closer to his face. Namjoon is lost in a trance by this beautiful person, and leans in to meet his lips with theirs, when he is met with air. He opens his eyes to his empty room and him in bed.

What a strange dream. 

He winces as he adjusts under the covers and discovers that he is partially hard.

Great, just what I need. 

He doesn’t have the energy to fix it right now, so he just takes a deep breath and ignores it. Eventually, Namjoon drifts off to sleep.

The next day arrives quickly, and the members are all hung over in the house waking each other up and groaning in the living room.

“What’s everyone’s plans today?” Jimin pipes up, cheerfully, as if he didn't get absolutely wasted the night before. J-hope looks up at him from his fetal position.

“How are you a real person?” 

“Yoongi-ssi and I were going fishing if anyone wants to join us.” Jin puts the offer out there, to which nobody volunteers.

“I thought you hate fishing?” Y/N asks Yoongi.

“I do, but it makes Jin hyung happy. And it's more fun with friends.” Yoongi half spoke, half groaned his response.

“Awe, he does have a heart!” Jimin teased. Yoongi curled deeper into his blanket in response.

“I want to go hiking today, anyone want to come with? We can get ramyeon after and karaoke!” Jungkook suggests.

“Oh, that sounds fun! I'll come.” Hoseok blinks the sleepy away from his eyes and nods.

“Jimin and I will come too.” Taehyung holds up his arm.

“Do I get any say in this?” Jimin smacks Taehyung’s shoulder.

Guess that leaves Namjoon and Y/N. Namjoon turns to him.

“Would you be interested in going to the National Folk Museum of Art in Seoul? I haven’t been there in a while.” Namjoon and Y/N both share a passion for minimalistic art and artists as well as art history. Y/N looked up at him and smiled through groggy eyes.

“Sure, that sounds fun!” 

Cute. 

“Sounds like we all got plans then! Get up and get going boys, or these hangovers are gonna take your Friday away.” Jin initiates the march to get ready for the day and get going. As everyone gets up and gets ready to leave, Namjoon also stands up. Y/N stays on the couch for a second before groaning and putting his arms out.

“Help me up hyung, i'm dying.” Namjoon smiles and exaggeratedly pulls Y/N up from the couch.

“I take it I will be driving us?” Y/N teases.

“It’s safer for us and the universe that I don’t.” Namjoon laughs and lets Y/N go upstairs. He trips over the first step, making Namjoon smile.

Some time goes by and Namjoon gets a text.

Y/N: I’ll be ready in 15, meet me in my car? Me: SOunds good Y/N: Lol typo

He puts his phone away and gets ready. After 15 minutes of looking for a good art museum outfit (he decides on jeans and a hoodie because he couldn't decide) Namjoon heads downstairs and to the parking lot to meet Y/N. He sees the light mint green beetle with its engine on and in the driver’s seat is Y/N, in what looks to be a brown sweater and a green beret with thin circle glasses. He opens the passenger door and buckles his seatbelt.

“You look nice! Perfect for the museum.” Namjoon compliments his outfit.

“Ah, a classic Namjoon look.” Y/N laughs, pointing out Namjoon’s plain outfit.

“Yeah well, I'm okay with being inconspicuous.” 

“You will be my staff as I get all the attention!!” Y/N smiles and gives Namjoon’s shoulder a light punch. Namjoon looks around the inside of Y/N’s car, taking it all in. The interior is light brown and clean, Y/N likes to keep his things tidy. On the windshield mirror is hanging a car freshener that looks like a daisy. Y/N turns on his bluetooth and connects his phone to the radio.

“Any music suggestions?” He asks Namjoon.

“I want to listen to what you want. What are you listening to these days?” Namjoon inquires. It has been a while since he hung out with any of the members one on one. Y/N nods and scrolls through his phone as if it was a super important decision.

“I need to find songs that you wont judge me for.” Y/N laughs, half joking.

“You know I listen to a bit of everything, not much can surprise me.” Namjoon reassures him. Y/N smiles and a song begins to play. Namjoon recognizes it as Troye Sivan’s “Lucky Strike.” Y/N bops his head along to the music and looks at Namjoon for approval.

“I know Troye Sivan. He has a great voice.” 

“God, what I would GIVE to do a collab with him!” Y/N reels, then puts the car in reverse and they set off. The car ride is pleasant and calming as they take turns recommending songs and vibing to them, moments of silent listening as well as gushing about artists they like.

“I wish we could be more open in our music. Like Troye Sivan or Frank Ocean.” Y/N expresses. “I mean, I know we technically can, and there is nothing wrong with expressing your true self through music, but I feel like we have to be so on edge because of how many people listen to our music.” Namjoon understands what he means.

“I get it. We have to tiptoe around certain topics because of how international our reach is.” Y/N nods solemnly to Namjoon's response.

“Yeah. I just wish I could write about what I want without worrying about scandals. We write about girls all the time, I'd love to write a boy love song.” Y/N is focused on the road. Namjoon turns to look at him when he says that, but doesn't say anything. They bop their heads to music the whole way, Y/N making silly gestures and expressions to the music as he drives. A slight burning feeling arises in Namjoon's chest, and upon realizing he is staring quickly glances away and swallows.

Must still be hungover.
